Cake Note 65: 'There is never enough time to do all the nothing you want' - Bill Watterson

Time.....I have no idea where the last couple of months have gone - well, I have but can't believe it's flown by so fast. Such a lot of nothings not done! And only a couple of cakes to end 2012. The first is for my nephew who follows Formula 1 racing with a passion and wanted the McLaren Mercedes in chocolate cake !! Not quite as sleek as the original.....

The second is for an 18th birthday for a girl who loves purple....and shoes......and a bit of bling. The thought of an all purple cake was a bit depressing but with the bling on the shoe and bag, and a few edible silver stars, I was really pleased with the result :

and last but not least...it wouldn't be Christmas without a Christmas cake! Simple 10 inch fruit cake with applique decoration of bells and bow using Marion Frost's Patchwork cutter set, and a wired spray of holly and red berries - all sprinkled with crushed Magic Sparkles to add a bit of snowiness :)

Happy New Year to all my readers, followers and those who have a glance at my musings whilst passing by :)

  2. Oh Kati, I am sorry you have been ill. Hope you are feeling better now? Thanks for you lovely comments - I love making shoes and this one was very delicate!

You should be Cinderella and then the shoe would fit!

    Best wishes x
